How did Sunexx come into being?

As early as 2001, company founder Klaus Lang had a visionary idea: to develop a filtration system that harnesses only the beneficial properties of natural sunlight – safely, sustainably, and intelligently.

From Vision to Medically Approved Innovation
Following extensive medical studies, the technology was officially named “HelioVital” in 2005.
The first product – a sun protection and tanning tent, combining a beach mat with a healthy shading system – was successfully launched as a certified medical device for consumers.
For his groundbreaking work, Klaus Lang received numerous awards, including one in 2010 from the former German President Horst Köhler for his pioneering innovations.

Sunexx solar filter technology
Sunexx is a pioneering key technology for protection against harmful solar rays – and this with simultaneous targeted use of the sun’s biopositive energy.
The harmful UV rays that are responsible for sunburn, skin cancer, accelerated skin ageing, the formation of free radicals, mutation of mitochondrial DNA and allergic reactions are selectively filtered so that they do not even reach the skin, hair and eyes.

2025/03: A scientific study conducted by the University Hospital of Regensburg has proven the antiviral and antibacterial effect of UVB light from the sun passing through Sunexx glazing, resulting in healthier living and working spaces.
